All Spring Media 2023 Rewind

20th December 2023, by Martina Porter

Many Christmas movies are based on the principle that a child can save Christmas if everyone believes. As I reflect on the last year, I can certainly see how believing in something can make things happen.

At the end of 2022, I was unsure of All Spring Media’s future and what direction the company would take. Alongside this, I was going through my own existential crisis about what I wanted to do. 2022 had been a difficult year, and I felt battered and bruised.

However, I kept coming back to the notion that I truly believe in what we do as a company and, like that frustrated child in a Christmas film, I just had to get other people to believe in that too.

The staff team at All Spring Media have always believed in what we are doing because it is so positive and impactful that we just had to find a way to continue.

For the first half of the year, we were busy delivering training projects with JGA for the GLA and with ScreenSkills, which kept us motivated. I did not know how the second half would pan out, but I still believed!

Then Skills Bootcamps appeared for us. We developed a great relationship with Hertfordshire LEP to deliver these, launching our first one in September. Since we started working on the Skills Bootcamps, we have been energised and have had a renewed sense of purpose. Our core mission remains intact, but now we have a way to fulfil that without having to fit square pegs into round holes.

So, it is with a sense of optimism that I look to 2024. We have so much to look forward to and will announce new training initiatives early in the New Year. I cannot end this without saying a huge heartfelt thanks to all those individuals and companies who have supported us this year – thank you from all of us at All Spring Media.

To bring it back to the Christmas film, the child is always successful in achieving their goal by getting those around them to have hope and believe that anything is possible. My hope for 2024 is that we continue to grow, we continue to make a difference, and we continue to enjoy doing that. I’m not ashamed to shout out loud that I believe!

Wishing our All Spring Media family and friends a joyous festive season and a 2024 where anything is possible.
